Over 36,000 Bhutanese refugees living in Nepal resettled.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has said the plan to resettle Bhutanese refugees living in Nepal in third country is underway.


MoHA Joint Spokesman Phralad Pokharel said here Saturday that 82 Bhutanese refugees have been resettled in Britain recently under third country resettlement plan.
Nepali government has been facilitating the resettlement of Bhutanese refugees in seven countries -- the United States, Canada, Australia, Norway, New Zealand, Denmark and the Netherlands. But now Britain is also in the list, said Pokharel.
According to MoHA, the number of Bhutanese refugees resettled in third country has reached 36,618 till Sept. 30.
Pokharel said that 75,617 Bhutanese refugees are living in several camps in eastern Nepal.
